Austin has recently launched a Substack account to share his music, songs, and other creative writing. There have been times when Austin's wanted to create and share more content, but using The Dangling Participles' social media accounts and websites didn't always seem appropriate. This account will give him that freedom, and he invites you to join him!
The account account is brand new. Like, new new, so we invite you to check it out, and if you like the content, be among the very first subscribers!
If you're not familiar with Substack, here's a quick run-down of what it is and how it works:
What is Substack? It's kind of a mix between a blog, a video podcast, and a newsletter, offering creators and writers the ability to build a direct connection with their audience and create a community around their writing.
How does it work? Interested readers can subscribe for free or for a monthly/yearly fee.
What's the difference between free and paid subscriptions? For now anyway, there's no difference. Austin's readers may choose to contribute if they like the content. (In the future, depending on how things go, Austin may choose to move some content behind the paywall.)
What kind of content will it feature? Austin plans to post content regularly — several times a month — with a variety of post types, including:
- Brand new originals like “Certain Kind of Boy” (posted June 3, 2025)
- Other songs that The Dang Ps don't perform.
- Detailed “origin stories” for his songs like “Where It Gets Exciting” (posted June 3, 2025)
- Other creative writing
