Holiday Show & "Christmas Waltz" Single Release!

The Dangling Participles'
Annual Holiday Show

We had so much fun last year, we're doing it again! The Dang Ps Annual Holiday Show is Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025. Tickets are already going fast, and this show is likely to sell out, and not all tables are created equal at UrbanBeat, so reserve a table early!

Holiday Show Ticket Info

Opening for us this year will be duo Pinter Whitnick, comprised of Kayleigh Slone and Andrew Mendenall. (And, yes, their band name is a wordplay on “winter picnic.”) Kayleigh is a former member of Lansing band Creature of One, with whom The Dang Ps co-billed a show at The Robin Theatre a few years back, and Alex graced the stage at Scrapfest one of the years that the Dang Ps performed there.

These days, the two of them travel the country and the world, video blogging as Kayleigh and Alex, chronicling their travels, van life, and gigs. Their live shows primarily showcase fun 80s & 90s hits.

For the 2025 Holiday Show, after a set from each band, The Dang Ps and Pinter Whitnick will combine forces — The Pinter Participles? Dang Whitnick? — for a final set of holiday tunes together. And back by popular demand will be Holiday Song Lyric Bingo! And you'll want to study up on both bands' bios and lore to see if you can take top prize in the trivia contest!

Christmas Waltz — Single Release

Soft Release: Today!  Streaming Release: 11/20

“Christmas Waltz” is officially available right now on our Bandcamp page and on The Dang Ps' website. It's absolutely the most country- or Americana-sounding song we've ever recorded, in part because of a gorgeous pedal steel part added by Drew Howard. With 45 years of stage and recording experience, Drew is an Michigan Americana and country music legend. He's taught lessons and been an instructor for MSU, Elderly Instruments, the Wheatland organization, and the Interlochen Center for the Arts.

He has toured internationally, performed alongside Bo Diddley and Tom Paxton, and done so much session recording that you can scroll for hours through his discography, which reads like a Who's Who of Midwest Americana. His tasteful pedal steel on “Christmas Waltz” gives it twangy warmth we didn't know the song needed until we heard the tracks he laid down for us. Now, we can't imagine “Christmas Waltz” without it!
