About a lovely, lovely girl who had it all going for her.
She had everything a girl could desire:
Wit, wealth, and her figure, and a will that burned like fire.

Enter: one rich gentleman into the picture.
His eloquent grace and quiet power were quite a mixture.
Now, Isabel, she liked his style. In fact, she was quite taken.
But when he got down on his knee, she said, "I think you must be mistaken."

The next to enter the scene: an American in blue jeans.
An honest man, with an honest face, if you know what I mean.
Well, he chased Isabel across the deep blue sea.
But she nearly laughed in his face when he offered her that ring.

She was led to believe that it was all her plan.
The man that she, or fate, then chose just wanted her money.
