Ann St. Plaza Stage (downtown East Lansing), Corner of Albert St. & M.A.C. Ave, East Lansing
Albert EL Fresco, downtown East Lansing's pedestrian-friendly public space, is making its return for the summer! This year's grand reopening will feature yard games, an inflatable football toss, brand new giveaways, and live music on the Ann St. Plaza stage:
5:30PM - The Dangling Participles (Duo): Tamiko Rothhorn and Austin Kaufmann comprise the creative duo at the heart of Lansing’s own indie folk darlings The Dangling Participles. Their performances feature spirited duets, storied lyrics, soulful harmonies, and vibrant folk-jazz instrumentation, with Austin anchoring the pair on guitar and Tamiko adding cornet and ukulele. Both songwriters draw deeply from the wells of literature, art, social justice, family, and relationships to pen songs evoking the breadth of human experience. “Listening to [The Dang Ps] feels like a burst of dopamine.”
7:00PM - The Andrew Brown Sound: The Andrew Brown Sound is a jazz quintet of former and current MSU jazz students led by Andrew Brown, an up-and-coming jazz musician, producer, and artist from Dearborn, Michigan.
